Been a little while since I have had a chance to grab a golden hour image but after my recent success with the Milkyway (blog post here…) I was up for some sunset/rise action..
The weather report suggested that the night would be clear after nightfall so thought I would try and get the double (sunset and MW shot) at South Cerney lakes so fired up PlanIt! and checked it out…
Unfortunately when I got there I found that particular lake was surrounded by a 6 foot hedge and locked up for the night making access a little interesting to say the least… I clearly wasn’t going to get much choice composure wise so made the best of it by poking the camera through the gate…
The MW shot wasn’t going to happen due to the only angle I could get a clear shot with… the left of my shot was obscured by a building and to the right was a wheelie bin… so took these instead…
Worked out better than I thought 🙂
Feeling motivated from those results I was up a little earlier than usual the following day and took a slightly different route to work across Minchinhampton and Rodborough common and captured these…
All in all a good few days photoging
